Recipe Difficulty Level: not too tricky Servings: 4

Ingredients:

  • 4 onions
  • 250 g (2 cups plus 1 tbsp) of flour
  • ½ tea-spoon of dry yeast
  • 250 ml (2 cups plus 1 tbsp) of sparkling water
  • 1 l (4 cups plus 3 tbsp) of peanut oil
  • Salt

Method:

Cut the onions is slices of half cm.

Warm the oil in a pan (you will need it to fry the onions).

In the meantime, let’s prepare the batter.

In a bowl, add the flour, the yeast, the sparkling water, and a little bit of salt.

Mix fast with a fork, in order to create a homogeneous compost.

Pour the sliced onions in the batter and mix to cover all of them.

Check that the oil is sufficiently hot to fry.

Add the onions and fry until they become gold.

Take them out from the oil and pose them on a paper towel.

Add a little bit of salt and serve them hot.
